Seed: sharply triangular seed; smooth, dull surface; dark gray to brown colored; hull is light tan with venation
Seedling: heart-shaped leaves with sharply pointed corners; ocrea at leaf base; glabrous leaves and stem; glossy appearance
Mature Plant: climbing or trailing growth habit; terminal and axillary clusters of small green flowers
