Identifying Characteristics:

Seed:  mitten-shaped seed with rough surface; gray to brown in color

Seedling:  alternate, heart-shaped leaves with finely serrated margins and densely covered with soft pubescence

Mature Plant:  erect, sparingly branched growth habit; solitary, axillary yellow flowers; cup-shaped seed capsule 

Method of Propagation: seed

Life Cycle: warm-season annual
